When planning and installing mobile shelves, several applicable laws and regulations have to be respected. We especially take into consideration the ‚Regulations for Warehouse Equipment and Devices’ (German ‚Richtlinien für Lagerreinrichtungen und -geräte; BGR 234, formerly: ZH 1/428):

Tight storage with mobile shelves entails considerably higher ceiling loads compared to static storage systems. These heavy duty requirements should be regarded as early as the planning phase. In borderline cases, a special load capacity calculation considering the dead load of the mobile rack system as well as the actual weight of the storage goods is required.
